Something personal, 2007

Digital print on Hahnemuhle German Etching paper. Editions: (70)

Artwork size: 12 x 12 in (30.48 x 30.48 cm)

From a visit to Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art in Helsinki, Finland, the artist was inspired by a number of artworks.  This print depicts the impact of those images.

The woman’s existence is surreal. She could be a real person going somewhere unknown, just a product of someone’s imagination being materialized or a mixture of both.  The abstract coloring of her dress expresses tranquility of the personality.  Her delicate features show how beautiful she is without seeing her face.  The tilt of her head and darkness around her suggest something personal is on her mind.
